Shillington PA Shillington is a borough in Berks County, Pennsylvania. It is located in the eastern portion of the state and it's part of the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area. The borough is considered to be a suburban community. According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Shillington has over 5,000 residents. The borough has a total area of 1.0 square miles. The racial demographics of Shillington are 97.11% White, 0.49% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.53% Asian, 0.75% from other races, and 1.01% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were approximately 2% of the population. Shillington has more than 2,200 households. Berks County is home to the Reading Regional Airport, a public airport located just outside the central district of Reading. To meet cultural interests, Berks County is home to the Reading Public Museum.
